For months, you’ve been chattering about Rescue Girls. It seems you created a game at school and recruited your friends. The game appears pretty straightforward: from what I can tell, you run around the playground “rescuing” people who need help. Only girls can play, though; you’ve been very clear about that.
There are several impressive things about this. You had the creativity to make the game up, leadership others are willing to follow, and perseverance to maintain it. You talk about it almost every day after school, and even on days when you don’t go to school.
On Sunday, you told me you would be a Princess Rescue Girl when you grow up, so you can rescue princesses.
You go, girl. Break down those barriers and be whatever you want to be.
