You gave me a delightful surprise yesterday. You started counting as we walked down the path outside our front door.
Wuhhn, twooo, eee…
I held my breath. So far, your counting had been more along the lines of “one, two, nine, two, nine…” or “nine, nine, nine.”
O-uh, eye, sihh…
You were looking down at your feet, oblivious to my growing pride and barely-contained energy.
Seh-ben, eighh, nine, ten!
You punctuated the “ten” and gazed out in self-satisfaction. I exploded. “Peanut, you did it! You counted to ten! Woohoo! High five!”
And we walked on air the rest of the way to the car.
