My dear kiddos,
Today I am thankful that we have had some crisp, clear weather this week. Even though the temperature is cooler, it doesn’t feel too cold in the sunshine. We had some “Indian summer” days in October, too, so you’ve had quite a few opportunities to run around outside, crunch leaves, and draw with sidewalk chalk. You’ve enjoyed going for walks and collecting fallen leaves and acorns. We’ve also been talking about all the different colors of the leaves, which I really enjoy. I didn’t experience any of this growing up in South Florida. We’ve even managed to get a few science lessons in when Munchkin has asked about why the leaves fall off the trees, or why the grass is green. I’m glad we’ve been taking advantage of this time, before winter really sets in.
